Reds and greens on a wednesday

Believe it or not.....this is in front of our house......I guess the beautiful colors make up for all the pollen that has me wheezing this spring. I like the B/W because its true JENNA.....She loves to take her shoes off.

Tuesday brain dumpage

1. I thought last nights "24" was good but pretty much knew that the first lady would play a part in bringing down the president. Have a nice ride to China Jack, see you in January.
2. Only one more "Sopranos" til next year. How many of you will be dropping HBO in the next two weeks.
3. Make a note to yourself: The world cup starts June 9th. If you love sports, do yourself a favor and get hooked early.
4. There are days (like saturday), where i feel like i'm making excellent strides in my running program and getting in shape quest, THEN there are days like today when I feel like Shelly Winters in "The Posiden Adventure".
5. We got an email at work today to remind us that July 4th is a Tuesday and July 3rd is a regular workday....I'm sure THAT will be a productive workday.
6. Shows I don't watch that are big right now: "House", "Greys Anatomy" and of the CSIs.
7. I think Taylor wins "American Idol" but neither two finalists sell a ton of CDS.

The end of the TV season...

The season finales are here. I just realized I only picked two new shows to watch this season: "How I met Your Mother" and "Reunion". "Reunion"? ...yes the show on FOX about high school friends involved in murder. The premise of the show was the each episode centered on one year. It was a cheesy show but FOX totally fucked up the continuity by starting the show during the World series. It was constantly bumped or moved and it was the death rattle for the show. I have a bad habit of picking shows that get cancelled w/o resolving the story. See "Now and Again" from a couple of years ago as an example. I like "How I met your mother" but was a little disappointed they didnt resolve more the season ender and it is scheduled to run at 8pm. I don't know if its strong enough to anchor monday night.
..Is it just me or does NBC have NO respect for "Scrubs"...good twist last night.....I get the feeling the "Sopranos" are jumping the shark. Will try to catch up this summer on "Greys Anatomy" and "House"

OF Dogs, Beds and Floods

Hey its my 100th post!...............Let's start with the rain that pretty much washed away ALL outdoor plans. So on Saturday, we headed off to see the collie puppy i mentioned. Beautiful dog, I love the line he comes from. But in the end, after seeing how crazy the house is at night, we decided maybe it was too much to bring a puppy into the mix. VERY sad to see this dog go to someone else. But I think in the end, its the right choice. So on Sunday, for the first time in ten years, we bought a bed. A nice big, kingsize Simmons Beautyrest which will be delivered next friday. Enjoyed a nice big roast beef sandwhich with Cheese fries from Kellys.....gee How much SODIUM was in that meal???

Fortunately where will live, we only received three inches of rain. Places north of Boston got 12 plus....but it was kind of weird to see areas I know be one of the lead stories on the "Today Show".

Dog days of May

For some reason I decided to hit the web site of a collie breeder I am familiar with.....No particular reason. I had not been to the page in awhile. Duncan, our collie is related to her line. We did not buy him from her, but a friend of hers has dogs from her bloodline. Anyway, turns out she has had two litters in the last two months and the dogs are just now old enough to go home. These arent just ordinary collies. They're from a champion line and the colors are not the ordinary colors. These dogs MUST at least $1500 and this womens pups sell QUICK!. I think she now has three left of the 13. I'm trying to set up an appt. to see this one particular dog in the pic. The question is DO WE NEED ANOTHER DOG??? TWO SMALL KIDS ,a new puppy....but it would be cool to have a mate for the other dog.

I'm nuts....and when i hear the price i'll bail......maybe.

Wal Mart versus Target

Let me cut to the chase I hate Wal Mart. Not for the reasons some get bent out of shape with them coming to town. I hate them as a consumer. I went with the kids to pick up a few things.
I was looking for storage for my closet and they had shit. I just looked around and it was like being in a George Romero movie. One of his great zombie flicks. People out in the middle of the days wearing clothes that looked they had been in the dirty pile for "quite awile". You know the type the oversized neon orange pants. BUT i'm stunned the fucking place is packed at 1pm on Friday! It was like shopping on the weekend. We get to the "speedy checkout" lane (exactly what it was called) and there are about 4 or five people ahead of us and I'm watching the cashier who keeps getting distracted from other workers...You know....its time to change the "change drawer". Fortunately for me as my life force ebbed away, My two kids were pretty good. Alexa hit me up for the requisite "M and Ms" or some funky pen, but i gave the thumbs down without much of a fuss. When we finally get to the line, the cashier spends at LEAST 90 seconds tying up her trash barrel. Can't someone ELSE attack this chore. Can't she ring a fucking BELL like they do at CVS to get some help? The problem here is the Wal mart is about a mile from my house but "Target" is on the other side of town., but after just the strain of this little journey, screw the gas......we love you "Target"

The DVD shell game

If you don't have small kids, IGNORE this post. Do you kids misplace, destroy, scratch, or otherwise mutilate their dvds???

It was a rainy day today, so Alexa wants to watch a particular movie. Its the great dvd shell game. you find the case, the movie isnt in it, or the WRONG movie is inside or the disc is scratched....The same goes for her PS2 games....

Do I need to buy a safe? A glass cabinet with a lock that can only be opened by my wife and I turning our keys at the same time as if we're launching ICBMS????

...ok tommorrows topic: who keeps using all the fucking PRINTER paper???????
