Maybe, finally spring??

..was quite nice to not be held hostage by the weather this weekend. Saturday was bulk drop off day..good to get rid of some stuff. Alexas soccer was still postponed for reasons the still escape me. Watched the sox sweep the yanks, actually hung out with our neighbors across the street and yes i got to play soccer....oh and we won 2-o over Charlton. Went from a week of rain and drizzle and 40 to about 87 today...I'll take the heat.

Milk Cartons

....Kevin Arnold once said on the "Wonder Years" something like..."it was back in the day when a kid could go for a walk after dark and not have to worry about ending up on a milk carton..."I bring that up b/c thats how i feel about my kids going to school in this new era....post Columbine and now Virginia Tech. I never once in high school or college ever thought i wasunsafe. I've watched the coverage and just keep shaking my head.....I wandered my old neighborhood from ages 5-12....you know the drill...be home when the street lights come on. With Alexa...if i let her in the backyard..i have to know at all times where she is. Its SUCH a different world. Think about it...we're only talking 35 years or so since i was Alexas age. What will it be like for her kids??

Why? Thats what i keep thinking about things at VT. WHY.....

My kids will always have school security that i never had to deal with...I don't even know what to write its so mind numbing

Back at one

Been neglecting this blog for my other one....altho not a hell of a lot is going on. I can't remember a stretch of weather this dreary. My first soccer game was cancelled on sunday. Been watching season two finally of "Twin Peaks". I wanted to finish watching season one again before i moved on and of course it took longer than i thought.

Its possible Manchester United will Play Chelsea for the C/L Final, the prem title and they WILL play them at Wembly for the FA Cup on May 19th. Should be a fun (or gut wrenching month).

Hopefully will have have some new pics from Easter up in a day or so.....
